Today's Flowers from my garden

The rain has played havoc with the flowers in my garden, but some plants seem to enjoy it. The Crinum lily is one of them. The flower stalks are 4 feet tall, and the pink striped , fragrant flowers are quite huge.
This local dahlia is another plant which enjoys rainy days. Dahlias are no fuss plants, and are quite happy whatever the weather condition is.

Purple Cleomes look so much like spiders.

The little flowers of Plectranthus 'Mona lavender' have stripes going down their throats.

Asystasia indica flowers attract a lot of bees, especially the blue banded ones. But I have never seen its fruit. It can be propagated easily by cuttings. I wonder why it produces nectar, if it can't make seed.

  14. Lotus leaf I couldn't get unto your blog ( my internet speed problem) over the weekend but so glad that today the internet is working faster for me. Your last 2 flowers are very new to me. I'm not used to seeing plectanthrus flowers as normally its just a foliage plant here and I've never heard or seen Asystasia indica before. I think your garden must look beautiful just now with all of these in flower.
