Chalice of Gold

The large flowers of the Chalice vine Solandra grandiflora are cream coloured when they open.
They turn an attractive gold colour the next day.
My thanks to Lisa for Macro Monday.

  2. Chalice of Gold...I have never heard of this flower, but it is another amazing miracle of Mother Nature. The idea that it changes colors is amazing. These are beautiful captures. Sorry my thumbnail went in 3 times. Mr. Linky really played a mean old trick on me. He kept telling me I had an error and could not post it...but he fibbed and did it 3 times. Sorry about that. I am really embarrassed. Genie
