H for History

 Hisoric monuments dating back a thousand years are many in India. The monument above is the Gol Gumbaz of Bijapur
 The 1500 year sculpture above is in Badami
 This ancient temple is in Aihole.
 This is a historic 'Pigeon Post office' in Srirangapatna. All these monuments have tales of valour connected to them.

    I understand that India has a fabulously interesting history. I do know a bit about the British being there and how it became a republic but its history goes so much further back. The architecture is amazing.
