Independence Day Flowers

Today is Indian Independence Day. The flowers depict the colours of the Indian flag. Orange is for Sacifice and Courage. White is for Peace and Purity, and green is for Prosperity and Harmony with nature.
Happy Independence Day to all my Indian friends!

  1. happy independance day. Ananya made a poster for her school of an exotically coloured peacock with the title: Independance: Where the mind is without fear.

  3. Love the idea of using the colours of our flag in this post! Your plants/blooms look really healthy. Hope you had a great day! Ours was subdued...heavy downpour and many areas in Assam are flooded. Also liked your last post about your school garden.

  4. Gouri:The peacock poster must have been lovely.
    Thank you, Catherine and Katarina.
Kanak: This time for the first time, children didn't attend the flag hoisting ceremony, because of the fear of H1N1. School is closed for 3 days for the same reason.
