Whenever there is a lull in the monsoon rains, the butterflies come out . The male Eggfly butterfly Hypolymnas bolina has made my bean patch his territory. He chases away any other butterfly which ventures there.
The Common Evening Brown Melanitis leda ia not a common visitor to my garden.
This Plain Tiger Danaus chrysippus has damaged its wing, probably in a fight with another butterfly. But the broken wing does not seem to affect its speed.
Looks like many butterflies are visiting your garden now! Soon your garden will rear many more of them!
ReplyDeleteThat kind of rain I can truly appreciate! What delightful, colorful captures as always!! I'm so glad all is well with you and your family. I continue to hold good thoughts for all the people of Mumbai and India.

You can never have enough butterflies in a garden! You do seem to have quite a few of these beautiful visitors lately. I'm always amazed at those butterflies with damaged or broken wings that still fly around.
