Our World-Cooperation

I found this calf grazing in a field nearby, with attendant egrets. Cattle egrets accompany grazing cattle so that they can catch the insects disturbed by the grazing cows. They also clean up the cattle of insect pests.
My thanks to the team of Our World Tuesday, where you can see different aspects of our world.

  8. I always love watching cattle egrets doing their job -- and the cattle always seem to understand what good friends they are to them.
