Our World -Recycling

In India, everything is recycled. Our newspapers and magazines are recycled, cotton clothes are recycled, glass bottles are recycled... the list is endless. The recycling begins with a humble individual known as the 'kabadiwalla', who collects our discarded things and pays for them.
The Kabdiwalla is honoured in this sculpture made of broken pieces of china. It is given the pride of place in the Mall Road in Shimla.
This is my entry to this week's Our World Tuesday.

  1. What an interesting post for the day! I really like the statue!! Thanks as always for sharing your world!!

  2. The kabadiwalla is indeed a very important part of our society

  3. It's so interesting. I do recycle almost everyday.
