Today's Flowers

 Now that the monsoon rains have stopped, plants are putting out beautiful flowers. Dahlia  always brings out lovely flowers.
 The little torenia is also showing beautiful blue flowers.
 The King's Mantle Thunbergia has flowers fit for a king.
 This Shrimp plant has interesting flowers.

K for Kinship

 Weaver ants have no king, but a queen. They show great kinship in building their Kastle....
The Kite knows he is the King of all he surveys. He has neither kith nor kin.

Today's Flowers in My Garden

Brugmansia flowers are big and bell shaped. They give out a mild fragrance at night.
 Dahlias have started blooming now.
 The purple King's Mantle Thunbergia erecta is always a show stopper with its brilliant colouring.

H for History

 Hisoric monuments dating back a thousand years are many in India. The monument above is the Gol Gumbaz of Bijapur
 The 1500 year sculpture above is in Badami
 This ancient temple is in Aihole.
 This is a historic 'Pigeon Post office' in Srirangapatna. All these monuments have tales of valour connected to them.

Today's flower- Pereskia

 Pereskia is a lrge, spiny climber belonging to the Cactus family. It has started putting out its beautiful flowers in my garden now.
