Cassia

My Cassiabush is putting out flowers although it is not summer. The golden yellow flowers at the tips of the bush look very pretty.

There are many kinds of Cassia which grow happily here in this city. Some streets are lined with Pink Cassia trees which are laden with 'strawberry icecream' in April. The Golden Shower tree, which is also a cassia, flowers in April. My bush, which resembles the Tanner's cassia, also flowers in April. But this year it is flowering in January. ...Climate change?

  1. What lovely blooms and leaves ... your Cassia! As gardeners we will be noticing plants and trees reacting to the climate changes going on. It is good to have a record through blogging.

  3. I'm always amazed at the varieties of cassia in bloom across the city. These yellow ones bloom for the longest period, I think!
