The jungle attracts many people. Rudyard Kipling wrote The Jungle Book set in the jungles of India.
The jungle has plenty of hidden treasures like the Cobra lily above......
and the orchid Acampe which are used in Ayurvedic medicine.
The jungle also is the home of the shy Nilgiri Langoor which leaps from treetop to treetop.

A beautiful look at your world!! I love the plants and the mountains! Wonderful captures for the day, as always!! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI like that orchid! We have a species that is quite common in our woodlands here that is very similar to the cobra lily that we call jack-in-the-pulpit.
ReplyDeleteThe jungle shot is awesome. The lily really does have the stance of a cobra and love that orchid!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo of nature's treasures for OWT! thanks for you lovely comment!

Lovely shots.
ReplyDeleteAmazing! Nature is truly awe-inspiring no matter where we are on the planet. ABC Wednesday allows us a glimpse of the contrasts out there don't you think?

The jungle is very interesting with its flora and fauna! My daughter in Australia lives in a jungle in Queensland. Apart from the birds , marsupials and other mammals there are also a lot of snakes, most of them are very useful for they eat rats. Thanks for this post.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
