Watery Wednesday- Islands in the Sun

All this area was a thick rainforest before the river Sharavati was dammed. We can see the vestiges of the rainforest in the little islands in the lake.

    I imagine even these small islands are refuges to small creatures though there is very little land there.

    Very interesting post! But I'm a bit sad to learn that the rain forest disappeared under the water now. I hope the construction of the dam was really necessary, was it?

    That little island could be a pleasant place to get away from it all for an afternoon or a weekend.
