The cormorants have other competitors like the storks and the egrets, all waiting for a juicy morsel.
However, the cormorants are the smartest anglers. I have seen one bird catch and swallow a fish bigger than itself, in a smooth operation.
This is my contribution to this week's Our World Tuesday and World Bird Wednesday.
Wow - those shots are gorgeous - just like paintings!ReplyDelete

Those cormarants have a straegy working for them, don't they? All in a line..waiting, waiting.ReplyDelete
All the cormorants have taken place on the pole!ReplyDelete
Eating larger in smooth operation? That's excellent action!
They are always so interesting to watch, all lined up. My husband photographed a line of them on the mooring line of a military ship, and was nearly arrested because he was too close to the ship! Great photos of those patiently waiting birds!ReplyDelete
How patiently they wait. And yet keep focused on their prey!ReplyDelete
Nice captures!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.ReplyDelete
