The elephant is adored and respected in India. The tame elephants which are housed in a reserve, help the forest officials to persuade the wild elephants which sometimes stray into the city.
Whenever the elephants travel on the road, the traffic halts in respect!
This is my contribution to Our World Tuesday and ABC Wednesday. Thank you, to both the teams.

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful sight that must have been. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteI love elephants too. I even have paintings painted by the elephants at the Nashville Zoo. I think it is interesting and very smart that the tame elephants at the reserve are used to help herd the wild ones. Great post!
ReplyDeleteI so love elephants and collect all types - jewelry, paintings, ceramics, etc. Dverything is in storage, however, until I finally have a home again and stop flying back and forth to India. I've just had total shoulder replacement surgery ( a little over three weeks ago )and am awaiting the birth of my first grandchild, due April 21. if all goes well, I will be back in India by the first of June.
