My World - The Disused Boat

This retired rowboat is abandoned on the bank of Kukkanhalli lake in Mysore. Now people seem to prefer the noisybut fast motorboats. These silent row boats were ideal for watching the waterfowl and other birds.
This is my entry for My World at http://showyourworld.blogspot.com

  1. What a lovely, peaceful look at your world!! Hope you have a great day and a wonderful week!
I left an answer to your question on my blog, but in case you don't have a chance to get back there, the statue in the third photo is of Leif Erickson. There is and has been for many years a very large Scandinavian section of the population in Seattle.

  2. Great post from your world. I've always preferred rowboats and sailboats. Motorboats are so noisy as you said. Lovely shot.
