Weekend Reflections- Floating Rangoli

It is usual in South Indian homes to have a bowl full of water with flowers floating in it , kept at the hallway near the entrance. It denotes welcome and cheer.
This is a floating rangoli in my frog pond .

Welcome to my blog. James at http://newtowndailyphoto.blogspot.com hosts Weekend Reflections every week.

  5. I like this flower tradition very much. I, too, often float blooms in water - I like melding the two elements, one supporting the other.

  9. I like the Rangoli customs. The floating flowers as welcome are very pretty. I think I will copy it for a centre piece for the dinner table.
