Teachers' Day

September 5 is celebrated as the Teachers' Day in India. This post is in honour of all the teachers who have taught me and those who still teach me.

"Teachers who inspire know that teaching is like cultivating a garden, and those who would have nothing to do with thorns must neve attempt to gather flowers."- Unknown author

"Better than a thousand days of diligent study is one day with a great teacher"- Japanese proverb.

  5. I love your quotes interspersed through your post and the beautiful roses you have pictured here. I myself could never be a teacher, but I have had some awesome teachers in my life, and still continue to find teachers day to day. We are never to old to learn and really, we would be surprised at the things we unknowingly teach to others that make an impact on thier lives.

  6. Love those quotes, especially the one about "thorns." Such a true statement. Teachers certainly must endure the thorns to bring out the roses. Beautiful post!

  13. As a teacher, I want to thank you for your tribute. We're starting back to school tomorrow, but I don't think any of my students will honor me in such a beautiful way...
