Skywatch Friday

There is an old English saying, "Red sky in the morning is the shepherd's warning, red sky at night is the shepherd's delight". When I saw the red sky last Wednesday evening, I assumed that it was going to be a fine night. But the weather gods thought otherwise. It rained throughout the night! It seems that even the tried and tested proverbs no longer hold good. Or, perhaps the shepherd needed the rain.
Congratulations to the Skywatch team on their third anniversary. Thank you team for hosting the meme so successfully!

  4. Hi Padma...that's a beautiful sky shot! Loved going through your older posts and looking at the blooms and garden wildlife. Fantastic captures!

I was away from blogdom because my brother-in-law passed away. He was only 49 and it happened so suddenly. Now I'm dividing my time between home and my sister's place. As for my posts, I may not be all that regular for a while now. I'll try to catch up as often as I can.

  5. Dear Kanak,I am very sorry to hear about your brother-in-law's sudden death.49 is a very young age to die. You must be a source of hope and support to your sister. My sincere condolences to her and to you. May God give you all strength to bear this unexpected loss.

  6. What a beautiful sky! I can never remember that saying, I always get it mixed up :) Hope the sun came back out the next day.

  7. Beautiful sunset!

I'm the webmaster for a site called Everyday life around the world. The purpose with this photo site is to show pictures of everyday life from around the world.
Sadly there aren't many participants from Asia yet - a part of the world we are very interested in.
There will be a new theme each week. The theme will be presented on Everyday Life ATW on Sunday and then you have the whole following week to post your picture.

This week's theme is Local Food.

We would be thrilled if you would join us and show us photos of your country and your reality
